ArtsUnited, Inc. is a nonprofit arts organization founded in 1999 in response to a growing need of local LGBTQ artists for an interactive and supportive working environment. Nowadays, their organization focuses not only on connecting LGBTQ artists and allies with each other and showcasing their work, but also on promoting the arts and cultural development in South Florida.
ArtsUnited implements their mission by operating programs and events that commission and present their member artists and promote the development of culturally diverse arts. They collaborate with other organizations in South Florida to ensure major benefits for our members and patrons.
During the past couple of decades, they have become one of the most renown LGBTQ arts organizations and they are proud to continue connecting artists and art lovers as well as providing a cultural outlet to their members and supporters.
Their membership- based programs provide artists with various opportunities each year to showcase their work and connect with fellow artists, as well as provide access to a variety of advantages and perks like preferred access and discounts for cultural shows and venues. Their events include at least one gallery opening per month and a variety of signature ArtsUnited events in partnership with other cultural organizations.
